Board of Assessors grants $588K in abatements, approves 38 exemptions

Plymouth Board of Assessors grants $588K in tax abatements and conservation exemptions. At its January 6 meeting, the board granted 171 tax abatements totaling $588,529.98, with the largest category being Clause 22D (59 abatements, $431,386.12). The board also approved 38 conservation exemptions for FY27: 16 for forestry properties, eight for agricultural properties, and 14 for recreational properties, while denying seven agricultural exemptions.

Present were Michael Hourahan, Director of Assessing, and board members Joanne Wing and Donna Randles.
