Advisory & Finance Committee backs FY2027 budgets for Town Meeting vote

Plymouth Advisory & Finance Committee votes to recommend FY2027 budgets to Town Meeting. The committee approved a $133.1 million Plymouth Public Schools budget with a 3.4 percent increase, approved revolving fund spending caps across all town departments, and voted to amend the Information Technology budget to fund two new public safety positions instead of three. All other departmental sub-committee budgets passed, including $42 million for Public Safety operations and multiple enterprise funds for water, sewer, solid waste, airport, and cable services.
Chairman Joe Lalley presented the fiscal 2027 spending package during the public hearing, with the committee voting unanimously or near-unanimously on most sub-committee recommendations.
