ADVISORY & FINANCE BACKS SPRING TOWN MEETING SCHEDULE SHIFT

Plymouth seeks to move spring town meeting to May for state aid clarity. The Advisory and Finance Committee, led by Chairman Joe Lalley, recommended charter and bylaw amendments that would shift the spring annual meeting from April to May and move the local election from May to June. The recommendation, presented by Select Board member Kevin Canty, passed 8-1-0 with Everett Malaguti opposed.

The committee also endorsed $718,000 in appropriations for facilities and 250th anniversary celebrations.
