Plymouth Advisory & Finance Committee voted to recommend six Fall Town Meeting articles Wednesday, backing environmental and conservation initiatives. The panel unanimously approved Article 6 ($17,500 for cyanobacteria monitoring), Article 7 ($10,000 for prescribed forest burn), and Article 10 (Mullins Rule adoption, allowing adjudicatory board members to miss one session if they watch recordings). Article 11, adding Conservation Commission alternates, passed 9-0-1.
Article 21 redirected $415,351 in CPA revenues to reduce Jenney Pond dredging borrowing. The most contentious was Article 22, a $750,000 Buzzards Bay land conservation project protecting 179 acres from development. It passed 7-3, with three members opposed over timeline concerns.
