Advisory and Finance Subcommittee C Approves $42 Million Public Safety Budget

PLYMOUTH — Advisory and Finance Subcommittee C approves $42.1 million FY27 public safety budget. Committee Chair Gail Butler and her three-member panel unanimously backed the spending plan, which allocates $19.57 million to police, an 11.1 percent increase to address a 16-officer staffing shortage, and $19.34 million to fire operations. The police budget funds 10 new cruisers and continued body camera expansion; the fire budget absorbs increased costs for state-mandated PFAS-free gear.
All five departmental budgets, totaling $42.08 million, won unanimous committee approval.
